It all began in 1952 when Al Winlsow started Winslow Motors in Peterborough, Ontario, representing International® Truck. A decade later Al welcomed Dave Gerolamy to join the ever-growing company becoming Winslow-Gerolamy Motors Limited. Today, second, third and fourth generations of the Winslow and Gerolamy families continue to serve within the company.
In 1970 Al and Dave welcomed Al’s son Mike Winlsow to the business. Mike has been actively involved, beginning in the parts department, working his way through sales and leasing, as well as General Manager and to his current position as President. Dave’s son Tom Gerolamy joined the company in 1978 and represents the dealership within the Parts Manager role. Tom has been recognized repeatedly by International® for his outstanding parts sales. In 1986 the company welcomed Dave’s son Steve Gerolamy as the Sales Manager. A position Steve continues to thrive in today. Like his brother, Steve has been recognized multiple times for his excellence in New and Used Truck Sales.
The third generation of these two families are continuing the proud tradition of service excellence. Mike’s two sons Andrew and Chris who joined the company in 1997 and 1998 and Tom’s two sons Jake and Dave joining in 2004 and 2006. Andrew Winlsow started in the service department as a service technician and moved over to Sales and Leasing. He now represents the company as General Manager. He is an active member on International® Service Advisory Board and Dealer Council as a voice for Canadian Dealers. Chris Winslow, Jake Gerolamy and Dave Gerolamy all serve as Parts Directors, supporting the large number of parts that move daily to their vast network of customers across Ontario.
Winslow Gerolamy Motors has recently welcomed a fourth generation to the family business. Chris’ son Parker and Andrew’s son Nick, both working on their apprenticeships as Truck and Coach Technicians. The company has over 60 employees, 11 of those employees have over 30 years of experience and 22 of them have over 20 years. The two families credit a great deal of their years of success to their hard working, courteous employees of both past and present, along with their strong relationships they have developed with customers.
Over 72 years ago Al and Dave committed to set a standard for service excellence in the trucking industry, and it continues to this day. The dealership has been awarded by International® the Prestigious Circle of Excellence, recently renamed the Prestigious Presidents Award, an outstanding 12 times, 4 of those were awarded in the last five years alone.
